Set-up: Rollins looks to get back on track Saturday, traveling to St. Petersburg and meeting Eckerd at the McArthur Center. The Tars are looking for a first win of 2019, having dropped three straight since the calendar flipped. Two losses came against Sunshine State Conference front runners Nova Southeastern and Barry. Rollins dropped a close one at Tampa on Wednesday, the Tars first true road loss of the season. Eckerd has won four of its last five with the loss coming against then 15th-ranked Lynn. The Tritons scored the season's first big upset on Wednesday, beating previously undefeated, fourth-ranked Nova Southeastern on the road. EC is 5-2 at the McArthur Center this season.  

Tracking the Tars: Reeling after three-straight losses, Rollins is looking for a big bounce-back game against Eckerd. On Wednesday at Tampa, the Tars fell behind early and couldn't recover, dropping a 75-62 decision to the Spartans.  Connor Mckim had the hot hand for the Tars, pumping in 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting. The junior also handed out five assists. Hutton Yenor scored 13 off the bench while Jakobi Bonner (11 points) and Eric Castaneda (10 points) also scored double-digits. Daniel Loh hauled in 10 rebounds. Bonner leads the season box score with 15.3 points and 4.1 rebounds a game. The junior is shooting 54 percent from the field and 50 percent from long range. Mckim averages 13.3 points and 2.8 assists a game while shooting 87 percent at the free throw line. Yenor averages 11.2 points per game while Loh and Castaneda both score 7.9 a night. Rollins is scoring 75.9 points a game and allowing 73.7 a night. The Tars are third-best in the league at forcing turnovers, causing 18.8 miscues a game.

Tracking the Tritons: Two of Eckerd's three losses have come against nationally ranked opponents with EC coming off a 78-75 overtime upset of fourth-ranked Nova Southeastern on Wednesday. Both the Tritons and Sharks had their worst shooting nights of the season. Drushaun McLaurn led Eckerd with 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting while Admir Radoncic netted 12 points with eight rebounds. Myron Hagins chipped in 11 points. McLaurn is third in the SSC and leads Eckerd with 19.5 points a game. The senior is shooting 50 percent from the field and also grabs 8.2 rebounds a night. Hagins averages 12.2 points a game and Marquis Gilbert is scoring 9.4 points a night. Eckerd leads the SSC in defense, allowing just 68.7 points a game, while sitting sixth in offense with 77.1 points a night. EC is also the league's top rebounding squad, beating opponents on the glass by 7.1 a game.
