MELBOURNE, Fla. (March 4, 2019) – Rollins junior Connor Mckim was feted for a historic final week of the season, earning Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week honors, it was announced Monday.
A native of Louisville, Mckim closed his third collegiate season on a high note, averaging 29 points , six rebounds and 4.5 assists in games at Florida Tech and Florida Southern. He shot 20-of-30 from the field, including 11-of-18 from 3-point range, and was also 7-for-8 at the free throw line.
Mckim led the Tars to an 84-72 victory over Florida Tech on Wednesday. He tallied a then career-high 27 points, six rebounds and five assists while playing 36 minutes. The point guard was 9-of-16 from the field and hit six 3-pointers.
In the season finale at Florida Southern, he posted a new career-high 31 points, shooting 11-of-14 from the field and hitting five from long range. His stat line also included six rebounds and four assists. Rollins drops the game in a shootout, 105-100.
Mckim ended the year averaging 13.9 points, three rebounds and 3.4 assists a game.
