FLORENCE, Ala. (October 15, 2018) – Morgan Egloff had a career day and leads the field after the first two rounds at the TVA Credit Union Invitational, hosted by North Alabama.
Rollins shot matching rounds of 295 and is sixth at 14-over. Jacksonville State leads the way at nine-under with Arkansas Tech second at three-under and host UNA third at even-par.
Egloff was second after the first round with a three-under 69. He started on No. 5 and quickly went two under after three holes. He took a bogey on No. 12, but got the stroke back with a birdie two holes later. Egloff added another birdie on No. 1 and closed with three pars to stay at three-under. In the second round he was even more impressive, totaling seven birdies with the only blemish being another bogey on the par-four 12th. His 66 is a collegiate career-best round.
Egloff leads the field by three strokes with his nine-under 135.
The Tars also have a trio of individuals playing in the tournament. Mason Fox is tied for 31st, shooting 76 in the opening round and coming back with a two-over 74 in the second. Marc Holzhauer is tied for 55th at 18-over with scores of 80-82 and Nicholas Diebel shot 84-81 and is 60th.
The TVA Credit Union Invitational will conclude Tuesday with 18 final holes at Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club.
