FLORENCE, Ala. (October 16, 2018) – Morgan Egloff shot a final round 73 on Tuesday and held off the charging field to capture medalist honors at the TVA Credit Union Invitational.
Rollins finished sixth in the nine-team event, hosted by North Alabama at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club.
The Tars turned in scores of 295-295-294 to finish 20-over for the event. Jacksonville State won at 16-under while Columbus State (+1) was second and Arkansas Tech (+3) third.
Egloff was spectacular the entire weekend, opening with a three-under 69 and then shooting a career-best six-under 66 in the second round. He posted a one-over 73 in the final round to finish at eight-under, winning the event by one stroke over Jacksonville State's Jesus Montenegro. For the tournament, Egloff recorded 13 birdies to just five bogeys.
Trystan Perkins shot even-par 72 on Tuesday and jumped six spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 14th. The newcomer was three-over for the tournament with scores of 71-76-72. Justin Karlins also made a climb in the final round, finishing 31st at 10-over with rounds of 77-74-75.
Rollins also had a contingent of individuals playing in the event. Mason Fox tied for 38th with scores of 76-74-79 (+13), Marc Holzhauer took 53rd at 24-over (80-82-78) and Nicholas Diebel was a shot back in a tie for 54th with rounds of 84-81-76 (+25).
Rollins will conclude the fall season October 29-30 hosting the annual McDonough Cup at Rio Pinar in Orlando.
