Egloff Leads the Way; Tars in 9th at Southeastern Collegiate

VALDOSTA, Ga. (March 11, 2019) – Morgan Egloff was bogey free on Monday and moved into second place as the Tars sit ninth heading into the final round of the Southeastern Collegiate.

Rollins shot a season-best, two-under 286 on Tuesday and is ninth among the 18-team field. The Tars are four-over four the tournament with 580 strokes. Barry leads the way at 10-under, followed by West Florida (-7) and both Columbus State and Nova Southeastern at six-under. 

Egloff moved up two spots on the leaderboard Tuesday, now alone in second place at nine-under for the event. He shot 69 on Monday and came back with a career-tying best 66 on Tuesday. Starting on the back, the Maryland native birdied two of the first three holes and finished his first nine at two-under. A birdie on No. 1 set the tone for a monster finishing-nine, coming back at four-under for the side and six-under for the day. 

Nicholas Diebel shot a second-round 75 and is tied for 37th at two-over for the tournament. The freshman posted a 71 on Sunday and grabbed three birdies to six bogey on Tuesday to remain in the top-40. Trystan Perkins posted a three-under 69 on Tuesday and moved up 35 spots on the leaderboard, now tied for 43rd at three-over. He has scores of 78-69 for the event.

Will Hall is tied for 82nd at 10 over (76-78) and Mason Fox is tied for 90th with scores of 82-76 (+14).

Juan Jose Guerra (67-65) has a three-stroke lead on Egloff and the field heading into the final round.
