VALDOSTA, Ga. (March 12, 2019) – Morgan Egloff finished the Southeastern Collegiate in second place after a final round even par, leading Rollins to an eighth-place finish.
Egloff ended the day where he started, posting scores of 69-66-72 for a nine-under 207. Juan Jose Guerra of Nova Southeastern ran away with the individual title, posting a 17-under 199 (67-65-67).
Rollins moved up one spot in the leaderboard Tuesday, taking eighth place among the 18-team field. The Tars were nine-over for the event, shooting scores of 294-286-293.
Barry won with a 16-under 848, followed by Nova Southeastern (-7) in second and Lynn (-6) in third.
Valdosta State served as host of the event at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in south Georgia.
Egloff played the front even par with one bogey and one birdie. He bogeyed No. 10 before getting back to red numbers with birdies on No. 14 and No. 17. Egloff then took a bogey on 18 to finish at even par and one-stroke ahead of third place.
Nicholas Diebel tied for 40th at five-over for the tournament, shooting 71-75-75 (221). He was even at the turn on Tuesday and played the back at three over. Trystan Perkins tied for 50th, shooting rounds of 78-69-77 (224).
Will Hall was a big mover on Tuesday, jumping 18 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 64th at 10-over (76-78-73). His final day was highlight with four-straight birdies on the front. Mason Fox had an eagle on No. 2 to start his day and posted a 74, finishing 83rd at 16-over (82-76-74).
Rollins is back in action March 18-19 at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College in Eatonton, Georgia.
