MELBOURNE, Fla. (April 26, 2019) – Rollins junior Morgan Egloff was named First Team All-Sunshine State Conference, it was announced by Commissioner Ed Pasque Friday.
The Chevy Chase, Maryland native is in the midst of a banner season, currently ranking sixth in the SSC and 13th in the nation in adjusting scoring average. He was twice named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week this season.
Egloff has won two tournaments this year and finished in the top-10 in four of the 19th-ranked Tars seven events. He won the North Alabama TVA Credit Union Invitational and was 10th at the McDonough Cup to close the fall season. This spring he has been on a tear, finishing second at the Southeastern Collegiate and winning the Georgia College Bobcat Invitational.
Eleven of his 21 rounds were shot at par or better this year with low rounds of 66 at the TVA Credit Union Invitational and Southeastern Collegiate. Egloff leads the Tars with a 71.62 stroke average on the season.
Ranked No. 8 in the latest NCAA Division II South Region ranking, the Tars are likely to receive a bid into the NCAA Division II South/SE Super Region, hosted by Rollins and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission at the Mission Inn Resort, May 9-11.
