HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (May 10, 2019) – Rollins posted the third best score of the day and launched itself five spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 13th after day two of the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Region Championship.
The Tars and Greater Orlando Sports Commission are co-hosting the event at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
Rollins posted a seven-over 295 in round two and matches Clayton State at 33-over for the tournament. West Florida and Lynn are tied atop the leader board at nine-over while day one leader Lincoln Memorial is third at 14-over.
The top-seven teams at the conclusion of the tournament advance to the NCAA Division II National Championship. Florida Southern, Barry, Columbus State and Limestone join the leaders as teams positioned to advance. The next seven teams are just 10 shots out of the final transfer spot.
Will Hall had a monster second round and moved up 47 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 27th. The senior posted a one-under 71 and is six-over for the tournament (79-71). Starting on the back, Hall was two-under after seven holes and one-under at the turn. Birdies on three of the first four holes of his second nine got him deeper in the red numbers at three-under. Hall then took bogeys on No. 5 and No. 9 to close.
Morgan Egloff is tied for 27th with Hall and seven others. He turned in a two-over 74 Friday after a 76 opening round. The junior was consistent throughout his round, with two birdies and four bogeys.
Trystan Perkins is tied for 36th at seven over, shooting rounds of 77-74. On Friday, he was three-over at the turn but played the front at one-under to leap 15 spots on the leaderboard. Nicholas Diebel and Mason Fox are tied for 93rd, both at 16-over. Diebel has rounds of 84-76 while Fox has turned in scores of 82-78.
