SET-UP:
With their home opener finally here, the Rollins men's lacrosse team sets their sights on fourth-ranked Colorado Mesa.  The Tars and Mavericks will square off in a 3 p.m. tilt on Tuesday afternoon at Cahall-Sandspur Field, marking the fifth time in program history the two teams will match up on the field.

The Tars enter into Tuesday afternoon's contest with a record of 0-3, most recently coming off of a 16-4 loss to Lake Erie, who ranked 20th on the NIKE/USL DII Top 20.  The Mavericks kick off a three game tour in the Sunshine State on Tuesday against the Tars, and will face Palm Beach Atlantic and Florida Southern throughout the remainder of the week.  Colorado Mesa is coming off of a big 10-9 upset victory over then No. 3 Tampa on Saturday night out in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The win marks the second time the Mavericks have taken down a team ranked third in the standings this season, with their other upset happening back on February 24th when they defeated then third-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne by a final score of 13-12.  Colorado Mesa remains undefeated on the season with a perfect 6-0 record.  

The Tars did not appear on either the USILA Division II Coaches Poll, or the NIKE/US Lacrosse Division II Top 20.  Colorado Mesa ranks fourth on both polls this week.

TRACKING THE TARS:
After three games played, the Tars are led in scoring by senior Jeremy Slocumb with six goals, followed by Greg Taicher with three, and Jackson Colling with two.  Connor Ashton and Eric NeCamp lead the team in assists with two apiece.  Kyle Sudol has earned a team best 17 ground balls as he has won 27-of-52 faceoff attempts.  Lucas Brush and Evan Schimek have each tallied a team high six caused turnovers.  In goal, senior Andrew Hoemann has seen a total of 171:55 minutes in between the pipes, facing a total of 107 shots and 65 shots on goal.  Hoemann has earned 26 saves so far this season, earning a save percentage of .456, and has allowed 31 goals, posting a goals against average of 10.82.  Landon Salie has played a total of 15:00 in cage this season, earning five saves for a save percentage of .625 while allowing three goals.

TRACKING THE MAVERICKS:
With six games played so far this season, the Mavericks are led by Calen Ketcham and Reece Callies with 16 goals apiece.  The duo is followed closely by Jack Griffin, who has notched 15 goals so far this year.  Ketcham leads the team in assists with nine, followed b Griffin with seven, and Callies, Brandon Wilson, and Michael Dasch, Jr. with four apiece.  Michael Marino leads the team in ground balls with 36 as he has won 64-of-112 faceoff attempts, earning a faceoff win percentage of .571.  Clark Ryder leads the team with eight caused turnovers, followed by Jacob Yordy with four.
