Rollins Receives Votes on NIKE/US Lacrosse Division II Top 20

Tars Earn Recognition on NIKE/USL Top 20 for Ninth Time This Season

WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 2, 2018) – After a hard-fought 14-12 loss to then No. 18 Florida Tech this past weekend, the Rollins men's lacrosse team has taken a dip in the rankings this week by not earning votes on the USILA Division II Coaches Poll, and falling out of the standings to receive votes on the NIKE/US Lacrosse Division II Top 20.

After receiving votes for the last two weeks, the Tars were unable to get the nod to receive votes on this week's USILA Division II Coaches Poll.  The top four remains unchanged from last week, with Le Moyne garnering the top spot, Merrimack coming in at No. 2, Lenoir-Rhyne sitting third, and Seton Hill checking in at No. 4.  Adelphi climbs from sixth to fifth this week, followed by Saint Leo, who makes the jump from eighth to sixth.  Limestone comes in at No. 7, while Pace (No. 8), Tampa (No. 9), and Lake Erie (No. 10) round out the Top 10.

The Sunshine State Conference sees plenty of representation this week, led by Saint Leo in the sixth slot.  Tampa checks in at No. 9, followed by Florida Tech in 16th.  Both Florida Southern and Lynn received votes on this week's poll.

Rollins drops from No. 17 to receiving votes on the NIKE/US Lacrosse DII Men's Top 20 standings.  Le Moyne remains at No. 1, followed by Lenoir Rhyne in second, Merrimack in third, Seton Hill at No. 4, and Adelphi in fifth.  Saint Leo also checks in at No. 6 on the Top 20 standings, while Limestone climbs from ninth to seventh this week.  Colorado Mesa checks in at No. 8, followed by NYIT at No. 9, and Belmont Abbey rounding out the Top 10.

Rollins opens the month of April with a match-up against Saint Leo on Wednesday, April 4, with game time set for 7 p.m. at University Turf Stadium.  Fans who are unable to travel to St. Leo, Fla. will be able to follow all of the action live with links to live coverage on RollinsSports.com.
