SET-UP:
Coming off of a hard-fought game that saw the Tars almost upset the No. 16 Tampa Spartans this week, the No. 20 Rollins men's lacrosse team is primed and ready for their final home game of the regular season.  The Tars host Sunshine State Conference opponent Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday afternoon at Cahall-Sandspur Field, with game time set for 1:00 p.m. after Senior Day festivities.  Fans who are unable to attend the game will be able to follow all of the action live on the Tars Sports Network and on the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network, as well as with live stats on TarsStats.com.

TRACKING THE TARS:
After almost toppling the 16th-ranked Spartans in a 13-12 loss, the Tars are looking to back to their winning ways on Saturday against the Sailfish.  Entering into the weekend with a record of 8-4 and 2-3 in Sunshine State Conference action.  Rollins, who checked in at No. 20 on the USILA DII Poll as well as received votes on the NIKE/US Lacrosse DII Top 20, are 4-0 when playing at home this season.  After 12 games played, Rollins has put up 171 goals, averaging 14.25 goals per game, and have added 96 assists.  Rollins averages 42.42 shots per game, and own a shot percentage of .336 as a team.

Ryan Dunn leads the Tars in goals with 37, followed by Greg Taicher with 28, Joey Cinque with 19, and Tommy Keane with 15.  Taicher has totaled a team-leading 19 assists so far this year, followed by Dunn with 12.  In the Tars' game against Florida Southern a week ago, Taicher netted three goals, and his third goal of the game moved him into first place in program record books for career goals.  The Berwyn, Pa. native now leads the record books in goals, assists, and overall points.  Defender Evan Schimek leads the team in ground balls with 40, and is closely followed b Kyle Sudol who has earned 39 so far this season.  Sudol has won 77-of-150 faceoff attempts, while freshman Cam Reeves has won 72-of-140 attempts, earning a team third-best 33 ground balls in the process.  Schimek also leads the team in caused turnovers with 32, and is just six away from becoming the program's all-time career leader.  Harrison Bluestein has earned 14 caused turnovers of his own, followed by Chase Snyder and Roy Hansen with 12 and 11, respectively.  In goal, Will Eckert has played a total of 472:46 minutes in 10 games played.  Eckert has earned 75 saves while allowing 81 goals, owning a save percentage of .481 and a goals against average of 10.28.

TRACKING THE SAILFISH:
The Sailfish enter into Saturday's game with a record of 6-8 and 1-4 in SSC play. Riding a five game losing streak, PBA earned a key win over then No. 7 NYIT earlier this season, and defeated Embry-Riddle in SSC action on Saturday, March 16.  The Sailfish most recently were defeated by Lynn University, 15-7, on Wednesday, April 10.  After 14 games played, PBA has earned 164 goals and 83 assists, averaging 11.71 goals per game, 43.90 shots per game, and a shooting percentage of .267.

Jackson Miller leads the team with 33 goals, followed by 25 from Zack Figura and 24 from Townsend Brown.  Brown has earned a team best 25 assists, while Miller has dished out 20.  Gunner Gebelein has amassed 79 ground balls, while Alex Aken and Ben Savick have earned 64 and 53, respectively.  Landon Johnson has won 151-of-291 faceoff attempts, earning 40 ground balls.  Gebelein also holds onto a team best 32 caused turnovers so far this season.  In goal for the Sailfish, Savick has played in 11 contests, seeing a total of 658:59 minutes in goal where he has faced 450 shots. Savick enters into Saturday's game having made 146 saves while allowing 132 goals, holding onto a save percentage of .525 and a goals against average of 12.02.

  • With 72 career caused turnovers, Evan Schimek is six away from becoming the program's all-time leader in career caused turnovers.  Schimek needs to surpass Nick Scannapieco `13, who concluded his career with 77 caused turnovers in his four-year career.
  • Ryan Dunn is three points away from setting a new program record for points in a season.  The Ridgefield, Conn. native is also one goal away from setting a new program record for goals scored in a season. 
  • With 20 assists this season, Greg Taicher has earned a new program best for assists in a season.
  • Schimek's 32 caused turnovers this season place him first in program record books for caused turnovers accumulated in a season.
  • Saturday's matchup marks the second meeting between the two teams in official competition.  Rollins leads the all-time series, 1-0, after a 13-4 victory over the Sailfish on April 21, 2018.
