SET-UP:
With one final game to go on their regular season schedule, the Rollins men's lacrosse team sets their sights on Sunshine State Conference opponent Embry-Riddle for a Saturday night match-up.  Game time against the Eagles is set for 8 p.m. at Embry-Riddle Lacrosse Field.  Rollins, who received votes on both the USILA/Warrior and New Balance DII Poll as well as on the NIKE/US Lacrosse DII Top 20 this week, enters into Saturday night's game with a record of 9-4 overall and 3-3 in SSC play, while the Eagles hold onto a record of 8-8 and 0-6 in SSC action.  Fans who are unable to attend the game will be able to follow all of the action live on the Tars Sports Network and on the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network, as well as with live stats on TarsStats.com.

TRACKING THE TARS:
Entering into the weekend with a record of 9-4, and 3-3 in Sunshine State Conference action, Rollins, will  look to close out their 2019 regular season with a victory on the road at Embry-Riddle on Saturday night.  After 13 games played, Rollins has put up 186 goals, averaging 14.31 goals per game, and have added 107 assists.  Rollins averages 43.46 shots per game, and own a shot percentage of .329 as a team.

Ryan Dunn leads the Tars in goals with 38, followed by Greg Taicher with 32, Joey Cinque with 24, and Tommy Keane with 15.  Taicher has totaled a team-leading 20 assists so far this year, followed by Dunn with 15.  Kyle Sudol leads the team in ground balls with 45, followed by Evan Schimek with 40, and Cam Reeves with 37.  Schimek has amassed an impressive 32 caused turnovers so far this season, while Chase Snyder has earned 17, Harrison Bluestein has notched 14, and Roy Hansen has tallied 11.  Sudol has taken the most faceoffs, winning 84-of-158, followed by Cam Reeves, who has won 80-of-149.  Also seeing time at the faceoff-x is Jake Jones, who has won 20-of-34 attempts.  In goal, freshman Will Eckert remains steadfast and holds onto a record of 5-3 so far this season.  Eckert has seen a total of 523:26 minutes in goal, earning 86 saves while allowing 87 goals, good for a save percentage of .497 and a goals against average of 9.97.

TRACKING THE EAGLES:
Entering into their final game of the regular season, the Eagles own a record of 8-8 and 0-6 in Sunshine State Conference action.  After 16 games played, Embry-Riddle has put up 183 goals and 91 assists, averaging 11.44 goals per game.  The Eagles hold onto a shot percentage of .309, and average 37.0 shots per game.

Coleman Jacobs leads the Eagles with 39 goals on the season, and has added 13 assists for 52 points overall.  Mitchell Cody has notched 24 goals of his own, followed by Kyle Dalrymple with 21, and Jacob Schripsema with 20.  Cody has earned a team best 22 assists for a total of 46 points so far this season, while Jared Kane had dished out 18 assists of his own.  Earning a team best 134 ground balls is Mark Urso, as he has won 226-of-373 faceoff attempts this season.  Michael Forte follows Urso in ground balls with 60, followed by Ryan Manning with 47.  Manning leads the team in caused turnovers with 19, followed b Forte with 16, and Luke Squire with 10.  In goal, Lucas Fraser has played a total of 892:49 minutes where he has faced 574 shots.  Fraser has allowed 182 goals while earning 147 saves, posting a save percentage of .447 while holding a goals against average of 12.23.

  • With 72 career caused turnovers, Evan Schimek is six away from becoming the program's all-time leader in career caused turnovers.  Schimek needs to surpass Nick Scannapico `13, who concluded his career with 77 caused turnovers in his four-year career.  Schimek also ranks ninth in all-time records in ground balls with 104.
  • Greg Taicher leads four all-time career record categories:  Points (149), Goals (99), Assists (50), and Shots on goal (202). The Berwyn, Pa. native also ranks second in all-time shots attempted with 311, and man-up goals with 16.
  • Joey Cinque ranks seven in all-time records for goals with 54.
  • Tommy Keane ranks 10th in all-time assists with 22.
  • Kyle Sudol ranks eighth in all-time records for ground balls with 110.
  • Roy Hansen ranks eighth in all-time records in caused turnovers with 34.
  • Chase Snyder sits ninth in all-time records for caused turnovers with 31.
  • Will Eckert ranks seventh in all-time records for saves with 86. 
  • Ryan Dunn and Greg Taicher currently hold onto the program record for points in a season with 53.  Taicher sits in second, as well, with 51 points that he earned in 2017.
  • Dunn leads program record books for goals scored in a season, besting Taicher's previous record of 37 that he earned in 2017.
  • Taicher set a new program record for assists in a season with 21, besting the previous record of 18 earned by Jeremy Slocumb `18 after his senior season.
  • Evan Schimek's 32 caused turnovers this season mark a new program season high.
  • Saturday's matchup will mark the second meeting between the two teams in official competition.  Rollins leads the all-time series, 1-0, after an 18-3 victory over the Eagles on April 14, 2018.
