WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 9, 2019) – The Rollins men's rowing team won two of its three races Saturday, highlighting a successful Rollins Invitational at Lake Maitland.
Rollins went head to head against Stetson at the event.
The Varsity 4 started the day getting out to an early lead and continuing to push ahead, crossing the line 22 seconds ahead of the Hatters. The crew of Mia McKay (coxswain), Jose Fernandez, Tim Edwards, Connor Stolp, and Michael Pakuris posted a time of 7:09.6 in perfect racing conditions.

"The weather and water could not have been better for the regatta today and the team was able to get an excellent look on where their speed is at this point in the season," said Head Coach Shawn Pistor.
The team will have the next couple days to rest for the beginning of spring break and will be back racing on Thursday against Embry Riddle and then on Saturday, March 16 for their final home regatta against Stockton, Florida, Barry and Wesleyan.
