PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (May 11, 2019) – Rollins men's rowing finished its 2019 season on a high note, taking sixth in the Lindy Cup at the Dad Vail Regatta.
The best Freshman/Novice 4's in the nation descended on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia for the 81st annual championship.
The Tars boat started by finishing sixth in qualifying heats, posting a time of 6:44.7. In the semis, they powered to a second place finish behind race favorite Colgate, finishing 25 seconds behind the Raiders and 20 seconds in front of third place Ohio State to secure a spot in the finals.
In the Grand Final Lindy Cup on Saturday, Rollins was in the mix the entire way down the course and finished fifth, beating Temple in the process. Colgate went on to a decisive win, followed by runner-up Michigan.
Dad Vails concludes the Tars 2019 racing season.
