BOCA RATON, Fla. (October 7, 2014) -

Behind by a goal twice, the Tars twice fought back to tie ninth-ranked Lynn, with the game eventually ending in a draw, 2-2.

With the draw, Rollins sits at 5-4-1, 1-2-1 in the SSC, while Lynn moves to 8-1-1 and 3-0-1 in the conference.

Matt Volk and Brett Durrance both scored for the Tars with Marten Mueller and David Kuckkahn chipping in assists. Durrance extends his already team leading total to six.

Luke Zlatartis and Chris Hellman each recorded a goal for the Fighting Knights with Hellman finishing with eight shots.

In goal, Julian Grundler allowed the two goals and collected six saves before leaving due to injury in the first period of extra time. Parker Sweeney replaced Grundler and finished with one save in his collegiate debut.

Max Schmidt played the full 110 minutes in goal for Lynn, making one save.

The game remained scoreless deep into a physical first half until Lynn finally broke through with just 30 seconds left in the half, giving the Knights a 1-0 lead into the half.

The lead would last less than two minutes into the second period. Volk got free in the far side of the box and drove a shot past Schmidt after Mueller found him with a perfect cross.

The Knights had another chance midway through the half when Chris Hellman ripped a shot from the top of the box that Grundler was able to deflect wide, diving to his left with full extension.

The game would remain tied until there was just over seven minutes to play. It was then that Rollins was whistled for a foul in the box to award Lynn a penalty. Hellman would beat Grundler on the PK to give Lynn a late 2-1 lead.

The Tars would again quickly answer back. This time it was Durrance who found the back of the net off the pass from Kukkahn, tying the game at 2-2 with less than six minutes left in regulation to force overtime.

Rollins' best chance in extra time came early in second overtime period when Kuckkahn ripped a shot from the near side of the box but couldn't beat Schmidt.
