Two days after the game was originally scheduled, the Tars knocked off third-ranked Saint Leo on Sunday night, 1-0. The match was moved to Sunday due to scheduling issues.
Rollins is now 2-0 in 2014 against top-10 opponents, with the last coming over then No. 5 Lynn back on September 20th.
The Tars improve to 6-4-1 overall and move to 2-2-1 in the SSC, moving into fourth place in the conference.
Evan Greenbaum scored the games' lone goal, his first of the year, cleaning up a loose ball inside the six meter box after a Skyler Russell corner kick. Russell was credited with the assist, his conference leading seventh.
Freshman Parker Sweeney started in goal, his first career start, and played the full 90 minutes. The Winter Park native finished with two saves en route to his first career shutout.
Melvin Agyea Boateng took a game high four shots for Saint Leo with Manuel Schoenhuber suffering the loss in goal. Schoenhuber came into the game first in the SSC in goals against average, allowing just 0.32 goals per match before Sunday.
