ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: Last time out, Rollins used a late second half goal to slide past PBA in regulation on Tuesday night, defeating the Sailfish, 2-1, on senior night. Grant Blackhurst and Alexis Martinez both scored in the victory, with Russell, Crowley and Tosan Popo all recording assists. In goal, Julian Grundler made two saves in his second game back from injury, playing the full 90 minutes.
With one game remaining, Brett Durrance leads the team with six goals to go along with two assists for 16 points. Rob Crowley and Grant Blackhurst are tied for second on the team with four goals each. Skyler Russell leads the team and is amongst the nations leaders in assists with nine.
Grundler has posted a goals against average of 1.45 in 12 games with 47 saves and a pair of shutouts.
The winningest coach in Rollins soccer history, Dr. Keith Buckley is in his 24th year at the helm of the Tars program in 2014. His career record of 285-134-25 is the 34th best in the history of NCAA Division II men's soccer and ranks 21st among active coaches. In the past decade, Buckley's Tars have won four Sunshine State Conference Championships, three SSC tournament titles, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament eight times.
SAINT LEO AT A GLANCE: Saint Leo returns to the pitch after suffering a 3-2 conference loss to No. 4 Lynn. The Lions were able to come back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the match at 2-2. In the 86th minute, Fighting Knights forward Chris Hellman netted the game winner to clinch the SSC regular season title.
Goalkeeper Manuel Schoenhuber garnered his second Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Lynn and Florida Southern. The junior has eight shutouts this season, with a 0.62 goals-against average and 52 saves on the year.
Forward Maximilian Schultze-Geisthovel leads the offense with four each of goals and assists, good for a team-leading 12 points. Junior Henry Adu and sophomore Bafou Sanogo each have seven points as Adu tallied three goals this season while Sanogo netted two.
Keith Fulk is in his third season at the helm at Saint Leo. Fulk helped lead the Lions to an impressive 13-2-2 record and a perfect 7-0-1 record in conference play during the 2013 season.. For his efforts, Fulk was named the Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year as the NSCAA South Region Coach of the Year.
