The Tars leave the comfort of Winter Park for the first time in 2018, after winning their opening two contests at Barker Family Stadium.  No. 25 Rollins will head north to face West Florida and Spring Hill.  The Tars jumped into the United Soccer Coaches National Poll following wins over No. 18 Wingate and Regis.  The Argos tied Tampa and lost to Flagler to enter the weekend 0-1-1, while the Badgers earned votes in the latest poll following a 2-0 win over Flagler, and a 2-1 win over then No. 23 Tampa.

Rollins: Stefan Avram picked up right where he left off in 2017, scoring key goals for the Tars.  The senior tallied both Rollins goals in the upset win over No. 18 Wingate, and scored Rollins' second against Regis.  The Orlando, Florida native is tied for the early Sunshine State Conference lead with three goals, and leads the SSC with two game winning goals.  He was named SSC Offensive Player of the Week for his contributions.  Abdiel Martinez made an immediate impact for Rollins, starting in goal as a freshman.  The Miami, Florida native made eight saves, including six against the Bulldogs, earning SSC Defensive Player of the Week Honors.

West Florida: The Argos were picked to finish fourth in the Gulf South Conference in the preseason poll.  Two-time All-GSC honoree Kameron Bethell was picked Preseason All-Conference, following two goals and two assists during his junior campaign.  Junior forward Isaiah Lopez came off the bench to score West Florida's only goal of the opening weekend.  Argo's keeper Jocab Murray totaled seven saves over the two matches, including five in the scoreless draw against the Spartans.

Spring Hill: The Badgers were selected second in the GSC Preseason Poll, and had two players named to the Preseason All-Conference Team.  Forward Alex Lipinski earned the honor after setting school records in both goals, with 14, and assists, with 10, last season; he earned one assists during the Badgers first two victories.  He is joined by Jack LaForge, who helped lead a defense that held four clean sheets in 2017.  Freshman Judah Chapman currently leads Spring Hill, scoring twice in the opening weekend. Alessandro Erdelyi has seen the full 180 minutes in net.

  • The Tars were scheduled to host West Florida and Spring Hill last season, but the matches had to be cancelled due to the threat of Hurricane Irma.
  • Rollins is 11-9 all-time against the Argonauts.
  • The Tars won their only previous meeting with the Spring Hill Badgers.

Rollins returns home for a midweek match against Southeastern, and a Friday contest with Trinity Baptist.  Kickoff against the Fire is set for Tuesday, September 11, at 6 p.m.
