Savannah, Ga. (December 2, 2017) – Rollins finished the 13th annual SCAD invitational placing fifth, tallying 336.5 points. Wingate took first place with 893 points, followed by Keiser, SCAD, and Emory to round out the top five.
Alex Norcini, Elliot Wylie, and Dan Sulkowski all earned 'A Final' cuts on the final day of the SCAD invitational. Norcini continues to have a stellar freshman campaign, where he was able to win the 'A Final' in the men's 1650-yard freestyle, and break the long standing school-record which was previously held by Kamel Tejeda with a time of 16:01.11. In the 'A Final' race, Norcini was able to notch a first- place finish with a time of 15:43.89. Wylie punched his ticket to the men's 200-yard backstroke 'A Final' with a fourth-place finish in his heat. In the 'A Final', the UK native picked up a sixth-place finish with a time of 1:51.30. Sulkowski swam the 200-yard breaststroke in the 'A Final', finishing in seventh-place for the Tars, coming in at 2:09.14.
The Rollins team of Norcini, Sulkowski, Wylie, and, Paul Tobin registered a fifth-place finish in the 4x100 Yard Freestyle Relay, recording 28 points for the Tars.
Rollins will host a home meet after winter break against Westminster. The meet is scheduled for Friday, January 5th at 12p.m.
