SET UP: The Tars look to close the fall semester on a high note at the SCAD Invitational. Last time out, Rollins swam in the Panther Invitational finishing third with 106 points but pushed many solid individual swims. This time around, Rollins will be competing against stiff competition against Berry College, Emmanuel College, Emory University, Keiser University, Lagrange College, Life University, Point University, South Georgia State College, Thomas University, Union College, and Wingate University.
WHO TO WATCH:
ROLLINS: The Tars took time off for the Thanksgiving holiday and they are back and ready to dive into the pool for the SCAD invitational.
In the 50 meter butterfly there are two individuals that are tied for 16th in the nation with a time of 23.75. These two are sophomores Chase Benton and Christian Huber. They are also ranked number two in the SSC. Huber is also ranked 25th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 45.70. He is also ranked fifth in SSC.
Alex Norcini finished with a season best in the 1000 free at the Panther Invitational (9:53.12) and 200-yard freestyle smashing into the wall in 1:54.78. Norcini is ranked #14 in the SSC.
In the 200 backstroke Elliot Wylie is ranked ninth.
The Tars will be back next semester, hosting SCAD on Saturday, January 5. The meet will take place in the Alfond Pool right here in Winter Park, Fla. If you haven't already, you should come out and watch the Tars in action.
