SAINT LEO, Fla. (February 1, 2019) – Christian Huber and Paul Tobin both had a hand in two victories as the Rollins men's swim team closed its regular season at Saint Leo, falling 126.5-78.5 on Friday.
Huber posted a dominating win in the 200-yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 1:41.30, four full seconds faster than second place. The freshman later teamed with Tobin, Brady Spear and Dan Sulkowski to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:24.44. Huber, Sulkowski, Elliott Wylie and Johnny Gush were second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:37.62).
Tobin tied for first in the 50-yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 21.71. Asa Marvel was third in the event (22.58).
Marvel added a second place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.76. Chase Benton was third in the race, posting a time of 1:57.81.
Sulkowski was runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle (48.31) with Luke Waite taking third (49.54). Wylie added a second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke and Luiggi Reno was runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:18.04.
Alex Norcini posted a pair of third place finishes, stopping the clock at 16:47.45 in the 1650-yard freestyle and posting a time of 4:59.39 in the 500-yard freestyle.
Rollins is back in action February 21-23 at the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Championships, hosted by Florida Southern at the Long Center in Clearwater, Florida.
