CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 22, 2019) – Rollins set three more program bests on Friday in the second day of competition at the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Championship.
Rollins is tied for fifth in the team standings with 150 points. Nova Southeastern is leading with 455 while Tampa is second (392) and Florida Southern third (362)
Alex Norcni finished ninth in the 400-yard IM, hitting the NCAA B cut and setting a new school record with a time of 3:55.34.
Chase Benton set the school record in the 100-yard butterfly with a prelim time of 50.00 then bettered that mark in the finals, finishing 16th in 49.81.
Huber took 13th in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:40.77 and teamed with Benton, Sulkowski and Elliot Wylie to finish sixth in the 400-yard medley relay in 3:22.76.
Day three of the four-day event starts with prelims on Saturday, February 23 at 10 a.m. with finals slated for 6 p.m. Florida Southern is serving as host of the championship at the Long Center in Clearwater.
