Julianne Kurke joined the Rollins swim program in August of 2018.
Kurke swam for Rollins Head Coach Kyle Berg at Northwestern University, where she was twice elected as a team captain, and was named Academic All-Big 10 on two occasions. An excellent breaststroker, she qualified for the USA Olympic Trials in 2012 and 2016.
After her graduation from Northwestern in 2016 Kurke returned to her home state of Georgia where she became the Head Coach of the Rivermist Swim Team and instructs with Swim Atlanta. As the Head Coach at Rivermist Swim Team she developed the program followed by over 100 swimmers, all under the age of 18. She guided the team to their best record in 8 seasons, and their best championship finish in 6 seasons, while almost all the individuals she trained set personal bests. She was nominated for GCSL Coach of the Year following both the 2017 and 2018 summer seasons. With Swim Atlanta Kurke guided over 150 swimmers with a focus on advanced stroke technique, all in preparation for the highest levels of competition.
