No. 16 Rollins (0-2) vs. No. 6 Lynn (4-0)

WHEN | WHERE:
Saturday, February 17, 2018 | 11:00 a.m. | Bert Martin Tennis Complex

SET UP:
The Tars are still in search of their first win of 2018.  They will look to get it against a stiff competitor this weekend, as the Tars welcome Sunshine State Conference rival, unbeaten, No. 6 Lynn to Winter Park in dual match action on Saturday.

TRACKING THE TARS:
Rollins has looked promising, despite the two early season defeats.  Nicolo De Fraia is still unbeaten on the year, picking up a pair of wins out of the first position.  Guillermo De Nicolas-Ruiz holds the No. 19 spot in the ITA National Singles rankings, and has played out of the second and third spots for Rollins.  Returning All-SSC performer Sami Kirberg has started the season 1-1.

The Tars have combined for a 2-3 doubles mark on the year, with one match against Division I Stetson going unfinished.  De Fraia and Nicolas-Ruiz team up to make the No. 8 doubles team in the South Region, and sit at 1-1 in the first position.  Kirberg and Daniel Ferl form the second team for Rollins, and also have a win and a loss on their record.

TRACKING THE FIGHTING KNIGHTS:
Lynn remains undefeated through four games.  The Fighting Knights have downed No. 11 Flagler and upset No. 4 Valdosta, to go along with dominating wins over St. Thomas and Keiser.

Lynn has earned a 17-7 singles mark as a team, through their four matches.  Kay Bartmann, ranked No. 25 in the national singles poll, has started the year 3-1, including a 2-1 record against nationally ranked opposition.  Florian Clemares sits at 4-0 in the third position.

The Fighting Knights are 9-3 in double matches, lead by Bartmann and Jose Porfino, who are a perfect 4-0 in the second spot.  Clemares and Porfino are ranked as the No. 9 partnership in the country, but have yet to take the court together this season.

UP NEXT:
Rollins will be busy next week, as they host SSC foe Eckerd on Thursday, before turning their attention to the No. 1 team in the nation, West Florida for a matchup at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, on Friday. Finally, the Tars will return to the Bert Martin Tennis Complex to host Davenport on Sunday morning.
