TEMPE, Ariz. (July 24, 2018) – The Tars' men's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team. Five Rollins student-athletes also earned distinction as Scholar Athletes. The ITA All-Academic Team is awarded to teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. ITA Scholar Athletes earned a varsity letter, have been enrolled at their institution for two semesters, and maintained a GPA of 3.5. Salvador Bolanos, Frederick Danielson, Atakan Gezer, Ziad Melhaoui, and Guilherme Vieira Dumit all earned the individual honor.

The men's tennis squad tallied a 3.274 GPA in the Fall Semester and a 3.149 in the Spring Semester. Seven Rollins student-athletes were named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Rollins completed the 2018 season with a record of 8-13 overall, and 3-5 in SSC play. The ITA ranked the Tars No. 40 to close the season. Nicolo De Fraia, Sami Kirberg and Guillermo De Nicolas-Ruiz ended ranked No. 23, No. 54, and No. 59 respectively in the national polls. De Fraia and Nicolas-Ruiz teamed up to form the No. 22 doubles partnership in the country.
