WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 20, 2019) – The Tars made easy work of the Florida National Conquistadors, earning the 4-0 win at the Bert Martin Tennis Complex.  With the win Rollins improves to 11-2 on the year.  Florida National falls to 3-5 in 2019.

The Tars sailed to the doubles point.  Guillermo De Nicolas-Ruiz and Atakan Gezer tallied the first victory for the Tars 6-0 on the third doubles court.  Nicolo De Fraia and Frederick Danielson clinched the point just second later with a 6-0 win of their own on the second court.  De Fraia finished the match with four aces in the final game.

Andrea Brignacca captured the Tars' second point, easily taking the number five singles match.  The Turin, Italy native took the match 6-1, 6-1.  Nicolas-Ruiz put the Tars on the edge of victory with a straight set victory, 6-4, 6-4 in the second spot.  De Fraia sealed the shutout win, staying undefeated on the year, with a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the top position.  Atakan Gezer, Gai Feigin, and Daniel Ferl were all on top of their matches when the contest was decided.

The Tars will return to SSC action next time out.  Rollins will visit Florida Tech on Saturday, March 23, with first serve scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
