Season Bests All-Around for Tars at Disney

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (October 6, 2018) – Running in near perfect conditions on arguably the best course in the area, Rollins took 15th of 16 teams at the 22nd annual Disney Cross Country Classic. 

The elite meet was held on the grounds of Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports. Complete Results

The Tars totaled 480 points in a meet that featured 139 runners from around the country. Florida A&M won with 21 points while Malone took second with 42. Sunshine State Conference rival Saint Leo was third, Florida Southern fourth and Nova Southeastern fifth. 

Rollins finished 22 points ahead of Finlandia University. 

Jack Gabriel led the way for the Tars with a 99th place finish, stopping the clock at 31:37 over the 8k course. The junior was nearly two full minutes better than his time a week ago at the Invitational.

Ryan King powered his way to a 109th finish in a time of 32:50. Luke Parsley turned in a time of 35:19 and finished 125th.

Eric Grimm was 129th with a time of 37 flat – a three-minute improvement from last week- and Parker Smith finished 131st in 38:21, 50 seconds than the freshman's season best.

Rollins closes its regular season Friday, October 12 at the USF Invitational in Tampa.
