Rollins 10th at USF Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. (October 12, 2018) – Closing the regular season at The Claw in Tampa, the Rollins men's cross country team raced to a 10th place finish at the USF Invitational.

The Tars totaled 294 points to finish six points ahead of Florida State College-Jacksonville and only five behind Keiser University. 

Saint Leo won the Non-Division I race with 30 points, one in front of runner-up Embry-Riddle. Florida Tech was third with 107 and Tampa fourth (125). 

Jack Gabriel led the way for the Tars with a time of 33:45, finishing 60th in the 83-runner field. Ryan King was 68th in a time of 35:29. 

Luke Parsley, Eric Grimm and Parker Smith crossed the finish line in near unison, finishing 74th-75th and 76th, respectively. Parsley edged out his two teammates in 38:14.44 while Grimm stopped the clock at 38:15.24. Smith kicked from 20-yards back down coming down the stretch to push the group and clocked a time of 38:15.40. 

Rollins is back in action Saturday, November 3 at the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Championship, hosted by the Tars at Embry-Riddle.
