Rollins is coming off a 29-24 year, in which they missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time in three seasons, and for only the second time since 2007. The Tars will look to improve under the guidance of 11 returning players and three senior leaders. Rollins also welcomes eight new faces, who will look to make an impact in the Blue and Gold.
Saint Leo was tabbed in the top spot, with 100 points and 10 first place votes, coming off back to back SSC Championship seasons. Last year's runner-up Tampa was again slotted in the number two spot. Palm Beach Atlantic was picked third and received the only other first place vote. Embry-Riddle and Rollins share the fourth position with 59 votes.
Rollins will kick-off their 2018 campaign on Friday, February 2 at 12:15 p.m. when they travel to the Gulf Coast Invitational in Gulf Shores, Alabama and take on Delta State. The Tars will start conference play on Friday, February 16 at 6 p.m. when they host the preseason favorite Saint Leo Lions at Rollins Softball Stadium. The NCAA Regional tournament is set to begin on May 11th. The 2018 NCAA National Championship will take place in Salem, Virginia once again, with competition starting on May 24th.
