Rollins broke a three game losing streak by taking the final contest in a three game set against Embry-Riddle last time out.  Rollins has lost three consecutive Sunshine State Conference series, and they will be looking to turn that streak around when they host the Nova Southeastern Sharks this weekend. 

Rollins as a team is batting .263 on the year, while scoring 167 runs.  Jordan Davis holds the highest batting average on the team, hitting .338.  The junior centerfielder also leads the team with 28 stolen bases.  Chandler Middlebrook has maintained a .333 average, with a team leading 15 doubles, and 31 RBI.  Brianne Lint blasted her seventh homerun of the year in the Tars victory over Embry-Riddle last time out, most on the squad. 

Grace Street, Abby Summers, and Erin Crawford make up a rotation that has tallied a 3.09 ERA in 2018.  Street is 12-6 with a 2.27 ERA in 25 appearances, while Summers has struck out 105 batters in 127.2 innings of work. 

Nova Southeastern picked up their second SSC series win of the year last time out, taking two of three from Barry, in Fort Lauderdale. 

Dana Edmundson leads a Shark offense that is hitting .243 on the year, lowest in the conference.  The senior from Panama City, Florida is batting .372, with 48 hits, 27 runs, eight doubles, three triples, and three homeruns, while slugging .550, with a .474 on base percentage, and 22 steals, all team bests.  Keeley Mayers is batting .304, the second highest average for the Sharks. 

The Sharks have only sent two pitchers into the circle this season. Lexie Storrer has seen most of the action, registering a 2.28 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 34 appearances.  Dominique Sprengers is 6-6 in 13 starts, and 71.1 innings pitched. 


  • Chandler Middlebrook's 15 doubles leads the SSC, and her 31 RBI are second in the conference.
  • Brianne Lint's seven homeruns are tied for the most in the SSC.
  • Jordan Davis's 28 stolen bases are the most in the conference this season, and put her in seventh in Rollins single season history.
  • Rollins is 13-6 at Rollins Softball Stadium this season.
  • Michelle Frew is 794-343-1, and ranks as the 16th winningest active coach in Division II. 

Rollins will take to the road for the final time this campaign when they travel to Boca Raton to take on the Fighting Knights of Lynn University.  Game one of the series is set for Friday, April 20, at 3 p.m.
