The Tars are riding a ten-game winning streak, and sit on top of the Sunshine State Conference with an overall record of 30-5, and a conference mark of 14-4. The Tars are also 20-1 at the friendly confines of Rollins Softball Stadium.
West Florida hold onto the nation's top spot, earning nine first place votes. Central Oklahoma is right on the Argo's heels, in second just three points back, and with five first place votes. North Georgia comes in third, and collects the two remaining nods at the top spot. Southern Arkansas and Texas A&M Kingsville round out the top-five.
Florida Tech is the top ranked SSC team in the poll, dropping one spot, from No. 10 last week to No. 11 this week. The Tars, at No. 24, are the only other conference school listed. Rollins and Florida Tech will face off in a three game series this weekend, with growing SSC and national implications.
The Tars next contest is this evening, Wednesday, April 3, when they venture outside the SSC for the final time this season, hosting a doubleheader against the Flagler Saints. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
