Tars and Panthers Forced to Push Top-25 Series

WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 5, 2019) – Due to weather concerns, No. 24 Rollins and No. 11 Florida Tech have adjusted their schedule for this weekend's top-25 softball matchup at Rollins Softball Stadium. 

The first games of the series will now be played on Saturday, April 6.  The doubleheader contests are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.  The two teams will then conclude their three game set with a single game on Sunday, April 7, at 1 p.m.

The Tars currently sit on top of the Sunshine State Conference, with a 32-5 overall record, and a 14-4 SSC mark.  Rollins broke into the top-25 last week after reciveing votes the week before.  Florida Tech has been a constant presence on the NFCA National Coaches Poll this season, and are currently fourth in the conference at 28-9 overall, and 12-6 against SSC opposition.

After the Panthers, the Tars will remain at the friendly confines of Rollins Softball Stadium for another SSC series, this time against the Embry-Riddle Eagles.  First pitch of game one is set for Friday, April 12, at 6 p.m.
