LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 10, 2019) – The Tars remained in the thick of the national conversation, moving up one spot in the NFCA Division II Coaches Poll. Rollins settled at the No. 23, after entering the poll at No. 24 last week.

The Tars fell to then No. 11 Florida Tech in the opening two games of their Sunshine State Conference series last weekend. However, the Tars recovered to take the finale by a score of 4-3 in nine innings. Two of the three games went into extra innings.
Rollins currently sits at 33-7 overall and 15-6 against SSC opposition. The Tars are second in the SSC standings, behind only Tampa, who sits at 18-6 in conference. Florida Tech, who also moved up one spot, to No. 10 in the country, and No. 23 Rollins are the only two SSC teams listed in the national rankings.
The Tars continue their trek through the SSC this weekend when Embry-Riddle visits Winter Park. The first pitch of game one is set for Friday, April 12, at 6 p.m.
