PRINCETON, N.J. (September 29, 2017) – After having its season opener washed out by Hurricane Irma, Rollins women's golf is now set to see off the year Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at the Princeton Invitational.
The event features 10-teams with Rollins as the lone Division II school in the field. Ivy League members Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale join the Tars, Delaware, Georgetown and Seton Hall in the tournament.
Teams will play 36-holes on Saturday at the par-72, 6,100-yard Springdale Golf Club, followed by a final 18-holes on Sunday.
Rollins was seventh of 12 teams at the tournament last season, posting a 46-over score of 910. Lexie Toth led the way for the Tars, finishing tied for 13th after rounds of 76-75-74 for a nine-over 225. Seher Atwal tied for 20th and Selin Timur tied for 23rd.
Seniors Toth and Madison Lellyo, sophomores Atwal and Timur and freshman Sophie Faulkner are the Tars scoring five at Princeton. Rollins tees off on the first tee beginning at 8:45 a.m., playing with Penn and Princeton and Yale individuals.
