TAMPA, Fla. (October 28, 2017) – Rollins will close its fall season at the USF Intercollegiate Oct. 30-31, hosted at TPC Tampa Bay.
The tournament was a late add to the Tars schedule after Hurricane Irma washed out the season opening Ross Resorts Invitational.
Rollins is one of 13 schools at the tournament, which also features Sunshine State Conference rivals Lynn and Barry. Host USF will field two teams and are joined by UAB, Georgetown, Towson, William & Mary, Lamar, Florida Gulf Coast, Stetson, McNeese State and Keiser.
Teams will play 54 holes over the two days, starting with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, and then a final 18 on Halloween with another 8 a.m. shotgun. Rollins is set to play with Lynn and Barry the first day.
Seher Atwal leads the Tars on the season, carrying a 73.56 stroke average though the first four events. She has a pair of top-10 finishes, highlighted by tying for third at the Princeton Invitational. Madison Lellyo started her senior season off strong and has one top-10 finish with a 75.56 stroke average. Fellow veteran Lexie Toth has a 76.33 stroke average on the year, Shyanne Lovan is in the line-up with a 78.60 stroke average over two events and Selin Timur (78.78 avg.) will round out the Tars line-up for the USF Invitational.
Rollins has enjoyed a solid fall season, taking third at the Princeton Invitational, fifth at the NSU GolfRank Invitational and 16th at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational.
After the USF Intercollegiate, Rollins will be off until the start of the spring championship season on Feb. 19-20 at the Florida Southern Lady Moc Classic.
