The 13th-ranked Tars opened with a three-over 291 and shot 304 in the second round to tie with sixth-ranked Florida Southern at 19-over (595). Top-ranked Nova Southeastern leads the way with a six-over 582, one clear of third-ranked Dallas Baptist in second place (583). Second-ranked Indianapolis is third with a nine-over 585.
Barry is serving as host of the event at the Don Shula's Golf Club Senator Course in Miami Lakes.
Sehar Atwal leads the Rollins contingent, part of a six-way tie for 11th with three-over scores of 147. She was on fire to start, going three-under over the first nine holes, including a birdie-eagle-birdie three-hole stretch, as part of a two-under 70 opening round. Atwal grabed another pair of birdies over the first nine-holes of the second round and finished the day with a 77.
Madison Lellyo is one back of Atwal in a tie for 17th with a four-over 148. The senior shot a first-round 72 behind three birdies and shot a four-over 76 in the afternoon round.
Lexie Toth, Selin Timur and Lara van Staden are tied for 31st with a seven-over scores of 151 strokes. Toth started the day with a birdie and shot 75 in round one tallied a 76 in the second. Timur turned in scores of 76-75 and van Staden shot 74-77.
Shaynne Lovan is tied for 56th with a 13-over 157 (81-76).
The BarryU Invite will finish with 18 final holes on Tuesday, March 27. The Tars will play with Florida Southern and Barry, starting with a shotgun at 8 a.m. Fans can follow the action live on GolfStat.com.
