Rollins Up One Spot on SSC Moving Day

BOCA RATON, Fla. (April 16, 2018) – Behind a solid round Tuesday, Rollins moved into a tie for fourth place after two rounds of the Sunshine State Conference Championship.

The ninth-ranked Tars turned in a 13-over 301 in round two and are tied with Florida Tech with 30-over scores of 614. 

Top-ranked Nova Southeastern paces the field with a 19-over score of 595 (297-298) with fifth-ranked Barry in second at 21-over. Lynn is third at 27-over par (603). 

Lexie Toth vaulted six spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 11th after a second round 74. She played the front at three-over and got a stroke back with a birdie on No. 11. The senior then finished her round with seven pars to match three others at eight-over (152) for the tournament. 

Selin Timur is tied for 18th at 10-over with 154 strokes. After a 77 on Sunday, she again posted a five-over 77 Monday with five bogeys. 

Seher Atwal is tied for 24th after an up-and-down day, shooting a 76 Monday. Her round featured two birdies and gives her an 11-over 155 for the event. 

Madison Lellyo (79-78) and Lara van Staden (83-74) are tied for 28th with 13-over scores of 157. 

Michelle Ruiz of NSU continues to lead the field, now at five-under with 139 strokes. 

The Sunshine State Conference Championship will conclude Tuesday with 18 final holes. The Tars will tee off beginning at 8:55 a.m. and play with Florida Tech and Saint Leo. Fans can follow the action on GolfStat.com.
