CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (July 4, 2018) – Rollins sophomore Shyanne Lovan was named a 2018 All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), it was recently announced.
Hailing from Wellington, Florida, Lovan competed in seven events for the Tars last season, posting an 80.65 stroke average in 20 rounds. She posted a season-best nine-over (78-75) and tied for 24th at the Saint Leo Invitational in October.
Also a member of the Rollins Athletic Director's and Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's honor rolls, Lovan carries a top GPA while majoring in Economics.
A total of 1,011 women's collegiate golfers were recognized by the WGCA. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
