MELBOURNE, Fla. (October 1, 2018) – Junior Seher Atwal was tabbed Sunshine State Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, it was announced Monday.
The Delhi, India native tied for 10th among 75 golfers at the Princeton Invitational over the weekend. She posted a four-over score of 148, carding back-to-back rounds of 74. In the opening round Saturday, she was even at the turn and one under heading into the last five holes, but ran into a tough stretch and went to three over. She finished with a birdie on No. 18. Sunday's round was a near carbon copy of the first, sitting one-under at the midway point and eventually finishing two-over.
Atwal led the Tars to an eighth-place finish in the all-Division I field made up of mostly Ivy League teams.
Through two tournaments, Atwal is carrying a 74.20 stroke average to lead the 12th-ranked Tars.
Rollins is back in action Oct. 12-14 at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
