Rollins 9th to Start Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational

WINDERMERE, Fla. (March 11, 2019) – Rollins turned in scores of 309-299 on Monday and sits ninth after day one of the 2019 Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational.

 Day 1 Results

The Tars are serving as host of the premier event at The Golden Bear Club at Keene's Pointe in Windermere.

Lynn leads the field at four-over after day one, shooting scores of 293-287. Saint Leo (295-294; +13) is second while Florida Tech (295-295; +14) is third.

Seher Atwal leads the way for the Tars, sitting 12th at three-over for the tournament. The junior shot a first round 74 and came back with a one-over 73 in the afternoon round.

Selin Timur started with a 77 and rebounded in a big way the second round, shooting a 73 to grab a tie for 20th at six-over.

Sophie Faulkner is tied for 41st after rounds of 81-74 (+11) and Jennifer Jung turned in scores of 77-82 and is tied for 56th. Shyanne Lovan is alone in 69th with scores of 84-79.

Lara van Staden is playing as an individual and is tied for 41st, shooting rounds of 76-79. Julia Malone posted scores of 87-86 and is 86th in the field.

Pilar Martinez of Limestone leads the field, shooting rounds of 69-71 on Monday. Helen Dreuzer of Lynn is a shot back in second. 

The final round of the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational is set for Tuesday, March 12. Players are scheduled for an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start.
