WINTER GARDEN, Fla. (March 30, 2019) – Rollins made the short trip to Orange County National in Winter Garden on Saturday and opened play at the Harvard Invitational.
The Tars, the lone non-Division I school and one of just two teams not from the Ivy League, is eighth after the first two rounds. Rollins shot scores of 312-313 at the Crooked Cat course.
Princeton leads the way at nine-over (292-293) with Penn in second, three shots back. Rollins is seven back of Yale for seventh.
"We knew it would be a tall order to post a team score similar to when Seher (Atwal) is in the line-up," said Rollins head coach Julie Garner. "Our team expectations were obviously not the same."
"Selin had a very solid day," added Garner. "It's great to see the improvement in her short game-and therefore scoring! Jennifer grinded it out so shoot 77's. Scores were low and we just didn't keep up with the pace. Hopefully we can regroup and finish well tomorrow."
Teams will play a final 18 holes on Sunday, March 31 starting at 8 a.m.
