The Tars will take on No. 1 seed Florida Southern on Friday, April 27, in the SSC Tournament Semifinals.  The Tars and Mocs will square off in a 5:30 p.m. contest, which will be hosted by Florida Southern at the new Barnett Athletic Complex in Lakeland, Fla.  The No. 3 seed University of Tampa Spartans and second seed Florida Tech Panthers will get the tournament under way, opening up with a 2 p.m. matchup at the stadium.

Tickets for general admission will be available at the game, with prices to be determined.  Students from SSC institutions are admitted free with proper school ID.

The top four teams in the SSC standings were granted seeds based on their in-conference record. After a fourth regular-season title in as many years, Florida Southern (17-1, 5-1) has earned the No. 1 seed in the SSC postseason tournament. The Moccasins will take on No. 4 Rollins College (14-3, 4-2), who earlier this season handed FSC its first regular-season conference loss in program history. Mal Olin posted 18 saves while allowing 10 goals in Rollins' 11-10 victory over Florida Southern on April 4th. Emily Santoli was the highlight for FSC the contest; the senior scored three times while picking up five ground balls.

Florida Tech (15-1, 5-1) claims the No. 2 seed due to a head-to-head loss against Florida Southern on March 24th. Owners of a six-game win streak, the Panthers, will play No. 3 seed Tampa (11-5, 4-2) in the opening round. Tampa earns the No. 3 seed over Rollins thanks to a February 10th victory for the Spartans against the Tars. On April 4th, Florida Tech went on the road to Tampa and came away with a 22-13 victory. Sara Grenier and Mollie Kaplan each had five goals for the Panthers in the win. Rachel Crawford tallied a game-high eight points (4g, 4a) for the Spartans, while Bridget Sutter recorded 13 saves.

Both semifinals will be played at the Barnett Athletic Complex in Lakeland on April 27th. The championship final will be played Sunday, April 29th at Noon on the campus of Florida Southern College.
