SET-UP:
The No. 8/7 Rollins women's lacrosse team heads to Sparks, Maryland to take on the 24th-ranked University of Mount Olive Trojans in a neutral site contest held at Tierney Field on Monday morning.  Game time is set for 11:30 a.m.  No live coverage is available. 

TRACKING THE TARS:
The Tars, who checked in at No. 8 on the IWLCA Division II Preseason Poll and No. 7 on the week one NIKE/US Lacrosse Division II Top 20 for the second straight week, enter into the weekend unbeaten with a 5-0 record and are coming off of a 22-12 victory over Moravian College on Tuesday, March 5.  After five games played, The Tars have posted 99 goals and 46 assists, while earning 97 ground balls, 90 draw controls, 30 caused turnovers, and 35 saves while allowing 41 goals against.  Senior Kallie German leads the way with 19 goals and 10 assists for 29 points, followed by Hannah Ashton with 17 goals and three assists.  Paige Brock has also registered a double-digit goal count with 11, and has added four assists for 15 points so far this season.  Behind German's 10 assists, freshman Caroline Gastonguay follows close behind with nine, and has chipped in six goals for 15 points so far this year.  Both Lily Rizk and Rachel Valocchi have earned a team best seven ground balls, while Lindsay Van Beck has won a team best 26 draw controls.  Maggie Dougherty and Taylor Kienle follow with 19 and 12 draw controls, respectively.  Both Gastonguay and German lead the team with four caused turnovers, followed by Van Beck and Kaitlin Prince with three apiece.  In goal, sophomore Gabby Tanner leads the way, having played 240:00 minutes.  Tanner has earned 32 saves while allowing 32 goals, owning a save percentage of .500 and a goals against average of 8.00.

TRACKING THE TROJANS:
Mount Olive, who received the nod at No. 24 on the IWLCA DII Poll this past week, enters into Monday morning's tilt with a record of 6-1.  The Trojans are riding a two game win streak, and are coming off of a 17-12 victory over Belmont Abbey on Wednesday, March 6.  UMO's lone loss of the season came in a 12-11 double-overtime defeat to Saint Leo University on March 1.  With seven games played, the Trojans have registered 123 goals, 47 assists, 216 ground balls, 109 draw controls, 86 caused turnovers, 35 saves, and have allowed 48 goals against.  Meaghan Michaud leads the way with 21 goals, followed by Kiara Burke with 20, and Jordan Shughrue with 19.  Jackie Kaderabek had dished out a team best 16 assists.  Sadie Michael leads the Trojans with 28 ground balls, while Burke has won a team best 37 draw controls.  Defensively, Chaija Olsson leads the team with 13 caused turnovers, followed by Michael with 12, and Burke with 10.  Siena Miller has played the most time in goal, seeing a total of 330:53 minutes between the pipes.  Miller has earned 32 saves while allowing 39 goals, holding onto a save percentage of .451 and a goals against average of 7.07.

NOTES:

  • Monday morning's game marks the third time the two teams will have met in program history.  The Tars currently lead the series 2-0.
  • Last time out against the Trojans, the then fifth-ranked Tars took down then No. 19 UMO by a final score of 7-5 on March 19, 2016.
