Senior Earns First Conference Weekly Award of Her Career
MELBOURNE, Fla. (March 18, 2019) – Senior attacker Paige Brock helped the Tars to three straight wins last week, and has been named Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts, league officials announced Monday.
This marks the first SSC Player of the Week award for Brock of her career.
Brock tallied 10 goals and one assist on the week, compiling a shot percentage of .625, a shots on goal percentage of .875, and scored on 2-of-2 free position attempts. In the Tars' 14-6 regional win over Mount Olive, the Winter Springs, Fla. native scored four goals on eight shots and six shots on goal, with two of her goals coming off of free position shots. Against regional opponent Wingate, Brock scored five goals on seven shots, all of which were on frame, helping Rollins to a 16-6 victory. Wrapping up the week against Holy Family, Brock notched a goal and an assist, placing her only shot of the night on frame, helping the Tars to a 25-4 win over the Tigers. With Brock's help, the Tars won all three games on the week, and coasted to their eighth-straight win for an unblemished overall record of 8-0 on the season.
The Tars return to action on Saturday, March 30, when they open up Sunshine State Conference play on the road at Palm Beach Atlantic.
