INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 5, 2018) – The Tars earned the fifth-seed in the NCAA South Region Tournament it was announced Monday. Rollins will take on Lee on Friday, November 9, in Pensacola, Florida.

West Florida earned the top seed in the South Region and first round bye to play the winner of Rollins and Lee. Barry was tabbed as the No. 2 seed in the bracket, and will host the other pair of South Region games. The Bucs will take on the winner of a match between third-seeded Mississippi College and sixth-seeded Nova Southeastern.
Rollins finished the year at 9-3-5 overall, and 6-2-2 in Sunshine State Conference play. Rollins earned the third-seed entering the SSC Tournament, but fell in the semifinals to Nova Southeastern. Rollins faced their Friday opponent, Lee, in their season opener; the Tars and then No. 9 Flames battled to a 2-2 draw.
Rollins defeated Lee in the opening round of their last NCAA appearance, in 2016. The Tars recovered from a 2-0 deficit to force overtime, where Mackenzie Miller scored the game winner off the crossbar. That year the Tars fell to Barry in the Second Round, also in overtime. Rollins most succeful postseason run came in 2014, when they advanced to the NCAA National Championship game. The Tars have reached the NCAA Tournament in five of head coach Alicia Shuck's seven seasons.
