O'Brien Earns Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. (November 7, 2019) – Rollins senior forward Kathryn O'Brien has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, the organization has announced.  This is the second career Academic All-District honor for the senior from West Springfield, Massachusetts.

O'Brien is pacing the Rollins attack and sits third in the Sunshine State Conference with 10 goals on the campaign.  She has added four assists, giving her 24 total points, also the third most in the SSC.  Her four game winning goals are tied for the most in the conference.  Kathryn has been named SSC Offensive Player of the Week twice during the 2019 season.  With her performances this year, she has moved into a tie for fifth in program history in goals scored, a tie for 15th in assists, and seventh in total points. 

O'Brien helped lead Rollins to a 11-4-0 overall record, and an 8-2-0 SSC mark.  The Tars set a program record for conference wins in a season, and will host a match in the SSC Tournament. 

Kathryn will be graduating in May with her degree in Business. 

The Tars will learn their final conference tournament seeding following the conclusion of the regular season, later this week.  Postseason play begins on Monday, November 11.
