BOCA RATON, Fla. (October 28, 2017) – The Tars took on a pair of opponents, in tri-meet action, on an early season trip south to Boca Raton.  The Lynn Fighting Knights downed the Tars by a score of 155–48 in Sunshine State Conference play, while the Keiser Seahawks bested Rollins 121-73.

Rollins meet was highlighted by the return of Grace Hansen.  The competitor at last year's NCAA Championship missed the Tars season opener, but registered a second place and a third place finish against the Fighting Knights and Seahawks.  The Baltimore, Maryland native touched the wall second in the 1000 Yard Freestlye with a time of 11:04.31, and third in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:25.66.  Macy Trattner recorded a third place finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke, and a fourth in the 50 Yard Freestyle sprint.  Senior, Taylor Wilks finished third in the 100 Yard Breaststroke in her only individual event of the meet.

Rollins' 200 Yard Medley Relay team started the day for the Tars with a second place finish; Hannah Brockman, Wilks, Cara Dealy, and Maya Thompson combined for a time of 1:56.35.  Brigid Cotter, Thompson, Wilks, and Trattner formed the Rollins 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, which finished forth on the day with a time of 1:45.52.

Rollins will open their home schedule with a pair of SSC dual meets next weekend.  The Tars will host No. 17 Saint Leo on Friday, November 3, at 4 p.m. Then turn around to host No. 3 Nova Southeastern the next day, Saturday, November 4, at 12 p.m.
