NORFOLK, Va. (June 29, 2018) – Three Rollins women's swimmers were named Honorable Mention Scholar All-America, it was announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.

Recent graduate Taylor Wilks, rising senior Grace Hansen and rising sophomore Maya Thompson were each honored for a standout year in the pool and classroom.

Wilks was a national qualifier and member of the All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team in her senior season and leaves Rollins the holder of seven school records. She was on the SSC and Rollins Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester of college and graduated with a degree in Communication Studies.

Hanson qualified for the national championship in two events as a sophomore and is the school record holder in the 400-yard IM. She has been a mainstay on both SSC and Rollins Athletic Director's honor rolls since transferring from Towson, majoring in Environmental Studies.

Thompson made an immediate impact in her first season with the Tars, tying the school best time in the 50-yard free and swimming a leg on four record-setting relay.

The CSCAA honored Rollins with the team Scholar All-America award earlier in the year.
