SET UP: As the semester comes to an end the Tars will turn their attention to the SCAD Invitational. The team will be traveling to Savannah, Georgia. Last time out, Rollins took fifth place with 323 points in the Panther Invitational but were highlighted by a slew of individual top time. The Tars will be facing top competition against Berry College, Brenau University, Emmanuel College, Emory University, Keiser University, Lynn University, Lagrange College, Life University, Point University, South Georgia State College, Thomas University, Union College, and Wingate University.


ROLLINS: The Tars took a week off for Thanksgiving; now they are back and ready to dive in for the SCAD Invitational.

Freshman Beatriz Olivieri continues to shine as she broke the school record in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.88. She has the fastest time in the nation in the 200 butterfly. Olivieri also broke the school record in the 500-yard freestyle in a NCAA B cut (4:58.31). She is 16th in the nation in the 100-yard butterfly. In the SSC Olivieri is ranked first in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Also, ranked third in the 200 freestyle in SSC.

Makenzie Grider is ranked 19th nationally in the 1000 meter freestyle and broke the school record at the Panther Invitational with a time of 17:19.78. Grider is ranked third in SSC. Grider has the second fastest time in the SSC swimming the 1650 freestyle.

Sydney Willis is ranked fourth in the 1650 freestyle. She also has the fastest time in the SSC in the 100 IM.


The Tars will be back next semester when they host the SCAD Saturday, January 5th. This meet will take place in the Alfond Pool Winter Park, Fla.
