Tars Close SCAD Invite in Sixth

SAVANNAH, Ga. (December 1, 2018) – Rollins put a cap on a busy weekend and the season's first leg Saturday, taking sixth at the SCAD Invitational.

The Tars racked up 297 points over the three-day event. Wingate posted a victory with 1077 while Lynn was second with 447.

Senior Grace Hansen led the Tars on the day, resulting in a fifth place finish in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:09.71. Cara Delay was not far behind, taking seventh in 2:11.29.

In the 100 freestyle, freshman Sydney Willis performed well and earned a 14th place finish with a time of 53.23.

Junior Jamie Mans finished 13th in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.24). While teammate Darrelle Pawley was right behind and finished 15th with a time of 2:29:65.

To cap off the SCAD invitational, Anna Van Zyverden, Shae Knox, Sydney Willis, and Maya Thompson finished seventh place in the 400 free relay (3:38.08).

The Tars will be back next semester Saturday, January 5 hosting SCAD at Alfond Swimming Pool.
